Is This Thing Still On? 👀

Hey Queen Reader 🖤👑,

Is this thing still on? 😂

I pray your year has been fruitful and fun so far.

Have you ever felt the weight of coming back to something God asked you to do pressing on your neck? The constant confirmations about what you're supposed to be doing, and realizing you still have the natural ability to do it in all the other places except exactly where God originally gave it to you?

It's me y'all. I'm talking about me and you.

For the first time in a long time, I actually feel really good. More confident. Trusting God. Obeying Him in most areas. But when it comes to this community? Baybeee, I be ready to run, chile.

And truth be told, this season has held a lot.

A lot of joy. A lot of lessons. And a lot of things that have stretched me in ways I didn't quite expect.

And somewhere along the way, life got heavy. I was carrying more than I knew how to hold, and if I'm being honest, I became disconnected from a part of what God had entrusted to me.

Not because His calling changed. And not because I stopped loving Him.

But sometimes heaviness has a way of making us withdraw, hide, and even become disobedient without realizing it.

But His invitation never changed.

The weight of misalignment, of not being connected to y'all, started weighing on me too. And babes, I still know that I need y'all just as much as I believe you need this community.

So we are officially back. And for real this time.

No more lukewarmness. No more running. No more hiding.

It's me, you, and the love of Christ, ready to return. Ready to grow again.

And maybe that's where some of us are right now. Not lost. Not forgotten. Not disqualified.

God's grace has a beautiful way of making room for our return.

Because returning isn't about becoming somebody new. It's about coming back to what God already said.

After Jesus' resurrection, Peter went back to fishing. Maybe because that's what he knew. Maybe because everything that had happened left him trying to make sense of what was next.

But Jesus met him there.

Not with shame, condemnation, or a brand-new assignment. Just a simple invitation back to what He had already said.

"Feed my sheep." (John 21:17)

Maybe you're not waiting on a new word from the Lord... maybe God is lovingly inviting you back to the last thing He said.

Three Gentle Ways to Reflect This Week:

  • Ask yourself: Is there something God spoke that I've slowly become disconnected from?
  • Speak this over yourself: "God's grace still makes room for my return."
  • Remember: Returning isn't about becoming somebody new. It's about coming back to what God already said.

And listen, Queen… if life has gotten heavy and you've found yourself feeling disconnected, you're not alone.

We're returning together.

And I can't wait to see what God does next.

With faith, softness, and much love,

Gianina

A Queens Day In

Hi my name is Gianina! I create space for healing—restoring ourselves through the kind of vulnerable conversations that bring real change. In 2021, I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. In 2025, I was declared legally partially blind. Both moments shook me to my core, but life didn’t stop. God kept sharpening my identity in Him. Through therapy, prayer, and community, I began having raw and vulnerable conversations that restored me piece by piece. 💫 My testimony is beautifully layered. Today, I’m still picking up broken pieces and letting God mold me. Because He is a Restorer. He built me to be Resilient. And He’s used my story to help me Reconnect with faith and purpose.

Hey Queen Reader 🖤👑, I've never been here before. I had that thought recently. While I was sitting alone on a friend's patio with my tea, Bible open, just enjoying the quiet. Nothing extraordinary was happening. I wasn't praying some deep prayer or wrestling with some huge decision. I. Have. Never. Been. Here. Before. I've never been this age, in this moment, with these feelings, getting tp know God on this level, getting to know ME in this way, never been this deep into my singleness. And my...

Hey Queen Reader 🖤👑, What if God isn’t giving you a new assignment…He’s recalibrating how you steward the one He already gave you? Recently, I realized that one of my fears had quietly taken over something God asked me to do. I’ve been in the event industry for as long as I can remember. Even when I was deep in my first love of dance, I was planning video shoots, photo shoots, and unforgettable experiences. My last big-girl job (lol) was as an Event Manager. My vision wasn’t the best then...

Hey Queen Reader 🖤👑, We always talk about trusting God. But can we talk about what grief changes besides our hearts? Lately, I've been wondering if it changes what we notice. Losing one of my girls has put me in a position of disbelief. Not disbelief in God, but disbelief that all the things she believed I could accomplish... she won't get to witness in the natural. My daily rhythm that included her has to change. And I do mean daily. It feels like the gold thread that helped me put pieces of...
