His Fingerprint Were Everywhere

Hey Queen Reader 🖤👑,

Have you ever had God do something so specific that all you could do was laugh? 😂

Not because it was funny. But because it was unmistakably Him.

Girrrlll… a lot has happened since the last Holy Tea.

A few weeks ago, I had a dream about California. I didn’t know exactly what it meant at the time, but one thing stood out: even though there was chaos, my belongings were protected.

Fast forward to the week I was supposed to fly out to California for my best friend’s celebration of life.

Wednesday evening… I lost my wallet.

And baybeee, I looked.

I checked.

I retraced my steps.

I tried to be mindful.

That thing was GONE.

The hardest part wasn’t losing my wallet. I really don’t trip over material things. The hardest part was realizing I might not be able to show up for the people my friend loved most.

I wrestled with whether I should still go anyway. If I’m being honest, I wanted to make it work. But the more obstacles that came up, the more I kept sensing that God didn’t want me to go.

One of my sisters in Christ asked me a simple question:

“What do you truly believe God wants?”

Whew.

That question settled everything.

The moment I canceled my hotel reservation, I felt peace.

Not because I understood.

But because I had finally surrendered.

Looking back, I realize that peace didn’t come after I got my wallet back.

It came after my obedience.

Then came the shenanigans. 😂

The day of the funeral, I randomly decided to open LinkedIn… an app I barely use.

Sitting in my messages was a note from someone saying they had found my wallet.

Y’all…

A sign language teacher.

Who also happened to be a believer.

Who took the time to find me through LinkedIn.

Who mailed my wallet back with everything still inside.

Dollars and all.

I literally laughed.

Then I clutched my pearls. 😂

Because in that moment, the Holy Spirit reminded me of the dream.

The one I hadn’t thought about in weeks.

The one where my belongings were protected.

And all I could think was…

God is so funny.

Not because losing my wallet was funny.

But because His fingerprints were everywhere.

He didn’t just return my wallet.

He reminded me that He had been speaking all along.

Lately, God has been teaching me that He’s speaking to me.

He’s active in my life.

Sometimes we expect hearing from God to look big, dramatic, and unmistakable.

But sometimes it looks like a dream you almost forgot.

A sister asking the right question at the right time.

Peace that comes after surrender.

A LinkedIn message you weren’t expecting.

A complete stranger who just so happens to be a believer.

None of those things alone would’ve convinced me.

But together?

I couldn’t ignore His fingerprints.

Maybe that’s what returning has been looking like in this season.

Not just returning to God.

Not just returning to the woman He’s been faithfully forming.

But returning to the confidence that He’s still speaking.

That He’s still leading.

That He’s still orchestrating details I could never plan myself.

Jesus said, “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit… will teach you all things and remind you of everything I have told you.” (John 14:26)

That verse has been wearing me OUT.

Because that’s exactly what happened.

The Holy Spirit didn’t give me a new word.

He reminded me of one He had already given.

And maybe that’s my encouragement to you today, Queen.

If you’re in a season where things don’t make sense yet… don’t mistake God’s silence for His absence.

He may already be speaking.

He may already be moving.

He may already be protecting you from something you can’t see yet.

And one day, just like me, you might find yourself laughing and saying…

“God don’t play about me.” 😂

🪞 Three Gentle Reflections

  • Where have you seen God’s fingerprints in your life recently?
  • Is there something God has already spoken that you need to return to instead of asking for a new answer?
  • What would it look like to trust His leading before you have all the explanations?

I’d love to celebrate what He’s doing with you.

With grace, softness, and a heart that’s still returning,

Gianina 💛

A Small Note Before We Close

One thing God has been teaching me in this season is that returning also means receiving.

For a long time, I believed I had to carry everything on my own. But I'm learning that obedience also looks like allowing others to partner with what God is building.

If Holy Tea or the AQDI community has encouraged you, challenged you, or simply reminded you that you're not walking this journey alone, and you feel led to sow into what God is doing here, I'd be incredibly grateful.

Whether you sow financially, pray for this community, or simply keep showing up each month, thank you for being part of this journey. I'm grateful you're still rocking with us. 💛

A Queens Day In

Hi my name is Gianina! I create space for healing—restoring ourselves through the kind of vulnerable conversations that bring real change. In 2021, I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. In 2025, I was declared legally partially blind. Both moments shook me to my core, but life didn’t stop. God kept sharpening my identity in Him. Through therapy, prayer, and community, I began having raw and vulnerable conversations that restored me piece by piece. 💫 My testimony is beautifully layered. Today, I’m still picking up broken pieces and letting God mold me. Because He is a Restorer. He built me to be Resilient. And He’s used my story to help me Reconnect with faith and purpose.

Hey Queen Reader 🖤👑, I've never been here before. I had that thought recently. While I was sitting alone on a friend's patio with my tea, Bible open, just enjoying the quiet. Nothing extraordinary was happening. I wasn't praying some deep prayer or wrestling with some huge decision. I. Have. Never. Been. Here. Before. I've never been this age, in this moment, with these feelings, getting tp know God on this level, getting to know ME in this way, never been this deep into my singleness. And my...

Hey Queen Reader 🖤👑, What if God isn’t giving you a new assignment…He’s recalibrating how you steward the one He already gave you? Recently, I realized that one of my fears had quietly taken over something God asked me to do. I’ve been in the event industry for as long as I can remember. Even when I was deep in my first love of dance, I was planning video shoots, photo shoots, and unforgettable experiences. My last big-girl job (lol) was as an Event Manager. My vision wasn’t the best then...

Hey Queen Reader 🖤👑, We always talk about trusting God. But can we talk about what grief changes besides our hearts? Lately, I've been wondering if it changes what we notice. Losing one of my girls has put me in a position of disbelief. Not disbelief in God, but disbelief that all the things she believed I could accomplish... she won't get to witness in the natural. My daily rhythm that included her has to change. And I do mean daily. It feels like the gold thread that helped me put pieces of...
